27 - 28 July
Angelus Hut Fit

Saturday depart 7.30am. Plan to head up to Angelus hut via Robert Ridge for Saturday night (serviced hut ticket needed).
Sunday AM early rising to summit Mt Angelus then head back out along the ridge. Option could be back via Speargrass hut if the group want to do a circular trip.
Crampons and ice axe must be carried and good experience essential to summit.
You can get to the hut to try crampons out for the first time and enjoy the basin area, sledge, bum slide or build snow creatures if you prefer. Bring a glass or 2 of red wine for communal mulled wine.
If you want to borrow club crampons and ice axe talk to me and I will do first come first served as fairest and least complicated option. Otherwise they can be hired elsewhere.

Club Night and AGM

Short AGM followed by the annual photo competition.  Doors open at 7pm.

10 - 11 August
Abel Tasman Nation Park Medium

SHIFTED from 10/11th - apologies to early punters. The less visited Northern Coast for an easy tramp with idyllic overnight camp. Great for shedding those winter blues.
From Wainui Bay we head to Whariwharangi for lunch at the hut or on the beautiful beach. Then on to Mutton Cove where we will drop packs for a side trip to Separation Point and then back to set up camp. On Sunday we head to Anapai Bay on the coastal track and then to the track junction for Totaranui. Up over Gibbs Hill (405m) on the main track and back down to Wainui Bay. Perhaps a side trip to Wainui Falls or to Taipo Point if there is time.

This is part of the ATNP GW so campites must be booked at $15 a site.
